Our Story

CRMI was founded by Gail Bisbee, RN, BSN, ACCC in 1994 and currently serves as President/CEO.  Prior to establishing CRMI, Gail practiced as an acute care nurse at Craven Regional Medical Center and later went on to open her own healthcare consulting firm.  During this time she traveled extensively throughout the country and Canada and has published six books and numerous articles in professional journals.

While lecturing in California she noticed the Record Management Business and found her calling. Gail sold her consulting business and opened her first record center in New Bern in 1994.  Since then, CRMI has expanded to three Records Centers located in New Bern, Greenville, and Rocky Mount and provides services to clients throughout North Carolina in the areas of hard document and microfilm storage, electronic data storage, document imaging, microfilm conversion to CD/DVD and document destruction.  In addition, Gail provides educational seminars and consultation in the areas of record management systems and HIPAA compliance. 

Staff at all three locations are bonded; undergo strict background investigations and extensive compliance training.   In addition, Gail is an active PRISM member and Treasurer, and member Corporate Partner of NCHIMA.
