Certified Document Destruction
Corporate espionage, copyright violations, identity
theft: misuse of information is a never-ending problem. The task of
protecting information doesn't end at the wastebasket; that's only the
beginning of the end. Certified document destruction by Confidential
Records Management, Inc. ensures regulatory compliance, security, and
privacy for you and your customers.
CRMI will work with the client to develop and
implement a destruction plan that addresses security and liability issues
and complies with the law, including the following laws:
- Fair
Credit Reporting Act
- Family
Educational Rights and Privacy Act
- Gramm-Leach-Bliley
Act
- Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
- Securities
and Exchange Commission regulations
CRMI provides locked security bins for clients who
require secure and timely destruction of sensitive and confidential
documents. CRMI will place a locked bin in your office and develop a
schedule for pickup and shredding. Secure destruction bins are available at
no charge with scheduled pickup service. CRMI destroys records at one of
our locations to ensure confidentiality of sensitive data. Our destruction
facilities are limited-access and have security and monitoring systems.
Although our in-house records shredding is more
cost-effective, CRMI provides on-site destruction of records in partnership
with a fleet of mobile shredding vehicles for our clients who prefer this
service.
Our industrial-grade shredders can destroy stapled,
clipped, and bound records and nonpaper materials such as binders, computer
storage media, film, x-rays, audiotapes and videotapes. CRMI recycles all
shredded paper documents. Recycling completes the destruction cycle and
helps keep the environment clean.
In addition to certifying records destruction,
CRMI offers the following services:
- Third-party
witnessing of destruction (for example, for copyrighted,
royalty-earning, licensed, or counterfeit materials)
- Document
searching (for example, for business clients to recover payments
inadvertently placed in the trash)
- Delayed
destruction (for example, for financial institutions to aid recovery
of misplaced valuable documents)
